A hot subject has been discussed at the Romanian Government headquarter: the budget for 2007. It has been established that, from the much expected year of 2007, the minimum salary in Romania will be of 420 RON, from 330 RON, as it is at the present moment.

I know two Romanian women. (You probably know even more than I do!) Both love Nabokov. I am currently reading his autobiography of his early years. I wish I could paint images with words like he does.
In the winter quarter, I’ll be reading the fourth and fifth volumes of Gibbons “Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire” in night school at the University of Chicago. I love the classic texts!
My Romanian friends are so well-educated! I am very impressed with them.
